Per-Person Pricing
Per-person pricing is a rate structure based on double occupancy most often used in European pricing models.
Each product being sold with per-person pricing must have its base occupancy set to ‘2’.
Per-person pricing includes a supplemental charge for a single occupant.
You can also set up Extra Adult, Extra Youth, and Extra Child rates that are applied depending on the minimum child, youth, and adult ages set on the Supplier’s Company page.
The examples below are based on the following set up:
Sample Per-Person Rates |
Sample Product/Supplier Settings |
---|---|
Base Rate: $100 |
Base Occupancy: 2 |
Single Supplement: $40 |
Capacity: 4 |
Extra Adult: $70 |
Minimum Adult Age: 16 |
Extra Child: $35 |
Minimum Child Age: 6 |
Base Rate per person for double occupancy is $100. The Single Supplement charge is $40. If one adult occupies the room, the rate is $140.
($100 Base Rate + $40 Single Supplement = $140)

($100 Base Rate x 2 Adults = $200)
Pricing for children depends on the number of adults occupying the room and the age of the child. Children falling under the minimum age are not charged unless there is only one other adult. Children over minimum age are considered adults.

- Per-person pricing is set up by an Inntopia developer. Once the per-person pricing model is implemented, Inntopia does not recommend reversal as it can have a negative impact on published rates.
- Per-person pricing must be set up before setting up any rates.
- To request per-person pricing, submit an INNTERACT request that includes the supplier ID. Allow two business days for the per-person pricing to be set up in your system.
