Inntopia + RateGain
The two-way integration between Inntopia and RateGain® (formerly DHISCO) allows for real-time searching of a supplier’s rates and availability through RateGain, including real-time reservation and cancellation processing.
After a supplier completes the necessary setup with Inntopia, the supplier sends its inventory and rates directly to RateGain, in turn allowing users of the Inntopia system to access and reserve the supplier’s inventory.

- RateGain only returns search results when a search quantity of "1" is entered.
- RateGain has assigned SGA code "NP" to all Inntopia accounts.
- Rates, availability, booking restrictions, and inventory from RateGain appear in the lodging search results. This information is neither created nor stored in the Inntopia supplier account.
- The supplier maintains other product information such as photos, amenities, policies, taxes, fees, and RateGain room type cross references within the Inntopia system.
- A new supplier account must be created specifically for the RateGain integration.
- When the reservation is complete, the Inntopia system sends confirmation emails to both the supplier and guest.
- When overriding pricing, the discount price is not sent to RateGain. Only the configured rate code is sent to RateGain.
- A third-party confirmation number is sent back to the Inntopia system on the itinerary.

- Corporate Credit Card – RateGain requires a credit card number in the reservation message. The customer's credit card is sent by default. At the sales-channel level, the system can be configured to send a corporate credit card number instead of the customer's card number. The sales channel must be set up as Reseller collect. If you prefer to use a corporate credit card, contact Inntopia Partner Services.

- Reservation Modifications – To modify a reservation, you must cancel and rebook in Inntopia.
- Integrated Wildcard Reservations – You can create a wildcard reservation for a supplier integrated with RateGain; however, it must be booked using a product that does not have a cross-reference code.
- Itinerary Notes – Itinerary notes are not sent to RateGain from Inntopia.
- Distribution and On-Prem Sales Channels – Only native Inntopia sales channels can sell RateGain products.

The integration supports receiving both net rates and commissionable rates from RateGain.

- To use net rates, you must:
- work on a reseller collects model -AND-
- configure a specific negotiated rate code within RateGain and provide that rate code to Inntopia. The Inntopia system uses the rate code to pull the net rates from RateGain.
- For instructions on how to mark up the net rates from your CRS, follow the standard markup procedure. You must set the net rate markup in Inntopia to match the retail rate published by the supplier.

- The hotel provides the rack rate code they would like to have used. Alternatively, Inntopia can view the XML that is returned by RateGain to determine the appropriate rate code.
- For instructions on how to assign a commission percentage in your CRS, follow the standard commission setup procedure. To do commission overrides beyond the default level, click here.

- Multiple rate codes are not supported.

The initial setup of this integration requires steps by both Inntopia and the supplier.
- Supplier: To allow net rates to be passed to Inntopia, set up a specific rate code in RateGain (see Supported Rate Types) and expose negotiated rate codes to Inntopia.
- Supplier: Complete the RateGain Account Author Request Form provided by Inntopia. Once completed, send the form directly to support@rategain.com.
- Supplier: Request integration setup from Inntopia by submitting an INNTERACT request that contains the following information:
- CRS Property Code (e.g. AmericInn Lodge and Suites of Rapid City: AA)
- RateGain Property Code (e.g. AmericInn Lodge and Suites of Rapid City: 7622)
- Default Guarantee Type – Specify a default guarantee type of either Deposit or Guarantee. Most RateGain availability responses contain the guarantee type required for the stay dates. The default guarantee type is used in the reservation request when the availability response does not specify a guarantee type.
- Rate Code exposed to Inntopia by RateGain.
- Net Rate Code or Commissionable Rate (RAC)
- Inntopia Supplier ID Number and Name
- Inntopia: Provides RateGain cross-reference codes.
- Supplier: Assigns RateGain cross-reference codes to products in Inntopia RMS.
- Supplier: Set up taxes and fees in Inntopia RMS.
- Inntopia: Configures integration and schedules testing with Supplier to confirm integration is working as expected.
- Supplier: Upon completion of testing, goes live with the integration.
Note: Only integrated products are allowed in a supplier account that is set up with the RateGain integration. If a supplier wants to add products to the integrated supplier after the initial go-live of the integration the supplier must contact Partner Services.

A RatePlanCode can be configured at the sales channel level by Inntopia staff; the RatePlanCode is only included in the reservation message, allowing the supplier to identify the sales channel in which the reservation was reserved.
To request this configuration, contact Inntopia Partner Services.

Inntopia recommends using the RateGain advance booking restrictions rather than Inntopia’s and suggests that any existing advance booking restriction set in Inntopia be removed.
